Isn’t it fantastic to be a grandad?

You once thought that being a dad was unsurpassably brilliant – and it was! But a generation on and with your own children now grown up – well at least as old as you were when they were born – a second bite of the cherry – and in some ways even better! No day to day responsibility, just enjoyment! You share your experiences, wisdom and memories with them and they are yours to indulge and yours to encourage into mischief!

I hope that all our grandads interact with their own grandchildren in this way and I hope that they all enjoy that – as much as I do mine. Grandchildren benefit in so many ways from having their grandads to talk to. This site is designed to widen that benefit to enable all children to hear the stories of all grandads and all grandads to share their memories and experience with all children – it also enables our grandads to talk to each other and compare notes and for our children to do the same. Therefore through this site the wisdom of all grandads can benefit all children, everywhere.

Sadly there are many grandads (and grandad aged men who never became grandads) who don’t have grandchildren to talk to - to tell their stories to, to share their experiences with and to pass on their store of knowledge to. Until now all their stories have been lost – but now, through this site they can share their memories with others to.
